Today it's a twofer, two comments in one day censored by MSN, it's okay for the guy to say what he said, but it wasn't okay for someone to point out exactly how that played out, once you can read it without all the hype surrounding it, you can see it for what it was. Trump's best hope they'd get to 60, 65,70 thousand deaths, enough to fill up Yankee Stadium with death, when that number exceeds double his expectations, he announces they are winners in excess deaths.
Commenter: I don't know how anyone believes what he said. I remember the number of times during covid, and he was saying were rounding the curb. He admitted to miss leading people and hundreds of thousands died.
My comment:
I remember all that.
April 19, 2020: Trump: "Now we're going toward 50,000, I am hearing 60,000 people." (Died of corona virus)
May 3, 2020: Trump: "Look, we're going to lose anywhere from 75,000, 80,000 to 100,000 people."
May 5, 2020: Trump: "I always felt 60,65,70, as horrible as that is. I mean we're talking filling up Yankee Stadium with death! But it's probably going to be somewhat higher than that."
May 11, 2020, corona virus death toll passes 80,000.
May 11, 2020: Trump: "We have met the moment and we have prevailed."
At least at the estimate of filling Yankee Stadium with death.
September 19, 2020, death toll reaches two hundred thousand.
September 21, 2020: Trump:
We're rounding the corner, with or without a vaccine, thy hate when I say that but that's the way it is. We've done a phenomenal job. Not just a good job, a phenomenal job.
September 23, 2020: Trump: I think we're rounding the turn very much.
October 15, 2020: Trump: Excess mortality, we're a winner on the excess mortality, and what we've done has been amazing, and we have done an amazing job, and it's rounding the corner, and we have vaccines coming, and we have therapies coming.
