Although the FTX scandal really screwed up some plans for me for Christmas, I'm not feeling discouraged. The holiday season is always a good time for the family.
This year, at least for Thanksgiving, our larger part of the family will be scattered into our own homes celebrating this time but even if we're not together this year, I'm sure we're all going to have a great time with our own immediate family. In this household, my sister, niece, and I will be heading over to my eldest sister's house. If you remember, my sister's home was flooded recently because Hurricane Ian hit Central Florida.
As a way to make her feel a little better, my cousin and her kid will be joining us too. This will be the first thanksgiving that all of us spend together. Normally, my eldest sister does something on her own and my sister Katherine and my niece either go to my father's home or stay with my mother for thanksgiving (sometimes both). This year, my father decided to go out on a cruise and my mother will be working for most of the day on Thanksgiving.
It'll be an odd Thanksgiving, but I'm sure we'll have a great time together!
