Hola amigos de Hive, en esta ocasión me encuentro en las áreas prácticas de medicina núclear del Clínico de 26. Específicamente en el llamado cuarto caliente, dónde como podrán apreciar en las fotografías, me hallo enfrascado en el trabajo con radiofármacos. Un trabajo muy importante y riguroso de mi carrera, el cual representa alta peligrosidad al personal de salud, al tratarse de compuestos radioactivos. Por lo que, nuestra profesora asesora y guía nuestros primeros pasos en nuestra introducción al medio, velando por nuestra seguridad y dándonos consejos sobre la materia.

Sin dudas, el trabajo con radiofármacos es bastante complejo, ya que estos no son más que medicamentos poseedores de una sustancia de índole radioactiva. Los cuales se emplean en el diagnóstico y tratamiento de disímiles enfermedades, incluyendo el cáncer. Por eso, la Radiofarmacia vista desde el punto de especialidad de las ciencias de la salud, se dedica al estudio de detalles sumamente importantes de origen farmacéuticos, químicos, bioquímicos, biológicos y físicos, estrechamente ligados a los radiofármacos. Siendo la especialidad de carácter multidisciplinar, con una marcada formación hospitalaria.

Ah pesar de las limitaciones, debido a la economía y política cubana, el trabajo hoy se torno bastante ameno. No importa mucho si los implementos son un tanto desfasados, la gran cofradía del equipo técnico, nuestra profesora y mis compañeros, logramos una química perfecta en el trabajo. Que me llena de satisfacción personal, por el hermoso trabajo que haremos en estas instalaciones. Dando esperanzas, abnegación y amor, a todos los pacientes que estén en nuestras manos.

Therefore, our teacher advises and guides our first steps in our introduction to the environment, ensuring our safety and giving us advice on the subject.

Undoubtedly, working with radiopharmaceuticals is quite complex, since they are nothing more than medicines containing a radioactive substance. Therefore, Radiopharmacy, seen from the point of view of health sciences, is dedicated to the study of extremely important details of pharmaceutical, chemical, biochemical, biological and physical origin, closely linked to radiopharmaceuticals. The specialty is multidisciplinary in nature, with a strong hospital training.

Despite the limitations, due to the Cuban economy and politics, the work today has become quite pleasant. It does not matter much if the implements are somewhat outdated, the great brotherhood of the technical team, our teacher and my colleagues, we achieved a perfect chemistry at work. That fills me with personal satisfaction, for the beautiful work we will do in these facilities. Giving hope, selflessness and love, to all patients who are in our hands.
