La cera era trasparente y mate, por lo que la empleé principalmente para proteger la pintura. The furniture does not have much value, it is a well-known model that you can buy in any of the shops of the big Scandinavian multinational, what is special for me is that I painted it when I was pregnant with my little boy, to keep his first clothes. I had never bought a new piece of furniture with that idea in mind.
With a well advanced belly I sanded, painted and waxed it when I had not yet assembled it. I chose a soft mustard colour, from a chalk finish paint. I didn't sand the last coat so that the bristles of the brush would leave their mark on the smooth surface, giving it a rustic touch. The wax was transparent and matt, so I used it mainly to protect the paint. Then I found some glazed ceramic knobs in a beautiful aqua green tone, with a golden screw, and it gave a very original touch to the whole.Soon that chest of drawers became too small for a rapidly growing baby. So I took it over to store "my little things".
