This is what I am doing personally, experimentally, as a very small effort for myself, and for the community.
1. Voting with 100% power
I am not going to split my voting weight. Every upvoting from me will be 100% of my voting power (probably will reduce for comments upvote). Not big. Actually, it's tiny: about $0.14 at this moment.
But we are now in the post-hf19-era (lol), right? Finally, I come to a stage where my upvote has enough power to drive that number on the screen to move a few ticks; I can't see any reason to split this power, only to go back to the time when I was helplessly watching that small dot turned blue but the number unchanged.
I don't need to upvote too many times in a day. I only choose the contents that I really read and like.
2. Only upvote for smaller minnow
I am a minnow. I only upvote to a minnow smaller than or about the same level with me. The rep score can be used as an indicator. I give most of my upvotes to those Steemian with lower rep score. I choose not to upvote for already high payout content.
When I am holding some power to turn a $0.09 to a $0.23, why should I go and turn a $868.30 to a $868.44? It makes no sense. They don't need my upvote.
So, for someone bigger than me, I will leave a truthful comment or engage in the discussion as a way to show my appreciation. For someone smaller than me, I upvote.
This is my very small effort to make the thing move toward wealth redistribution, rather than wealth concentration.
3. "SteemBookLoversMag" on the go
I start publishing a blog posts digest. The first issue is here: SteemBookLoversMag, 21 June 2017.
We love diversity. Steemit blog posts should not be only limited to cypto, and tech, and money. We do most of our reading on the Internet. But there are some of us who never forget the books, the ancient and incredible media of knowledge, and pleasure.
I collect those blog posts, about books, reading, publishing industry, and everything related to books. I choose this category to start with, just because I like it. I do it all manually. Every blog post I included in the compilation, I really read it, word after word. After all, this is the very meaning of digest, no?
That's all I am trying to do at this moment, as an individual project. But I believe every little force counts.
Thanks for reading.
And, let's climb up, reaching for the blue sky.
I truly believe the value of contents and social interactions, so I have strong confidence for Steemit.
Please help me to involve more in the community by following, upvoting, commenting, or resteeming my posts.
Thank you for reading.
