I find it annoying to have to click on a new page-number everytime I want to change to a different page. I'm sure you've already thought of this, but infinite scroll would come very handy! It's a bit cumbersome using chainBB right now.
Also, not sure if you're aware of discourse. Sublime-Text is an example of a forum using discourse. It's a fantastic forum software, it would not be a bad idea to get some ideas from there, as far as UI goes.
