10 truths... ONE lie!
I was looking for a quote about truth and lies... and this one just made me laugh!!! It's probably the truest one that I could find regarding truth!
But as far as THIS post.... I'll tell the truth and giggle because this was super fun!!!! I loved hearing which facts you all thought were lies!!!! And now... I'll tell you which were the truths :)
1. I did in fact find the needle in the haystack at summer camp! It was amazing and unbelievable and right in the nick of time! Right before the end of the seemingly impossible task - I saw a glint on the ground, amidst loads of hay!!! The needle! My team won!!! :)
2. I was courted by a celebrity and he asked me to be his girlfriend - and... I did turn him down! hahaha I won't name who he is but I kinda do wonder how life would have been different and EVERYTIME i see him on a movie or tv... I wonder if I should have said yes ;)
3. I did go to the University (or as we say in the states, "school" @praada hehehe) to be a psychiatrist. My life was completely mapped out... but - things changed. I switched majors after 3.5 years. I don't regret that decision, but I do wish that I had the skills to treat my insanity... hehehe
4. I did in fact win $25,000 in a contest sponsored by VISA and MSN. You can still see the details of it online, and since I'm anonymous - I won't tell you more than that ;)
5 & 6. I did sing in front of 1500 people dressed as Gloria Estefan (THAT was hilarious and fun and QUITE the experience!!!) AND... I also sang as a backup singer for the Rock the Mic tour. My cousin has sung with two very famous world-renowned singers.... (again - for the sake of anonymity... I won't go into details hehehe but they have both won many Emmys! One is retired, and one is currently an A-list star) She knew I loved to sing, so she brought me along and it was pretty cool to rub shoulders with celebs.
7. Sadly, I did lose my top on a 100 foot waterslide. LOL It was JUST like a movie. There were three dips in the slide. On the first, my left strap slid off my shoulder. On the second dip... there goes my right! I was FLYING down this slide, holding onto the handles of a small plastic sled for dear life. Even though I knew what was likely to happen - I couldn't bring myself to let go of the handles! I thought I would lose my balance and topple off the slide! So - on the third dip - the entire top flopped down - exposing me COMPLETELY. What could possibly be any more humiliating?!?! The fact that the water park had small bleachers on the rides for the older members in the family that had come along for the day. So - yep - about 5-6 old men were sitting on the bleachers at the bottom of the slide and got the full show that day. My cousin ran up to me, helped me compose myself and we both hurried away. But not before I heard the words "Well, I never saw that happen before!" come from the mouth of one of the older men. aghhhhhhh. I wonder how many of them still tell this story from THEIR point of view?!?!?! hahahaha
8. I CAN listen to and respond to three conversations at once. I don't know how I do it. hahahaha But I can. Everyone in my family knows this and is very careful to not assume that I'm engrossed in another conversation before saying things that they shouldn't. hehehehehe But what I can't do.... is talk to someone at the same time that I'm texting or writing. The three conversations have to be audible conversations! hehehe If i'm texting - I really don't hear a word that anyone else says! LOLOL
9. I DID start learning Russian because my son wanted to go to Mars! :) When he told me that he was considering this years ago, I started looking up all the things that he needed to do in order to be a prime candidate. (of course this was before I realized that the first crew up there was basically going to never return! LOL) One of the things that they suggested is that they learn Russian - so that was that! :) и сейчас... я могу говорить по-русский!!!
10. I did pass out on laughing gas at the dentist's office, and what followed was the trippiest experience that I have ever had! I cannot explain it properly in text. hahahaha but I will say - it was probably the closest feeling that I have ever had to living in the Matrix (and seeing all the green code all around me!!!) with programming that rewound and replayed and... yeah. Because of Dave Chappelle, we all know that cocaine is a powerful drug. But I am here to tell you that in the wrong amounts - nitrous oxide is also a powerful drug! LOLOLOL
So what does that leave? hahahaha I WAS a cheerleader for those who said that I seemed like I could be - but I was NOT ever a Laker Girl ;) and honestly... those girls put up with a lot of nonsense! I'm not sure I would ever want to be subject to all that in my life. but they sure are pretty ;) Though two people answered this correctly, I believe that the first one to get the answer correct was @quoll - so congrats!!! @multi4g - you'll get a tip hehehe :)
Hope you had fun with me! and @andysantics48 - pleeeeeease do not re-nominate me for another 10 exciting things. hahahahaha I had to scrape the bottom of the barrel for these things. If I have to come up with another 10 - they will be SO very un-good. lol but I can't wait to read yours!!
