Welcome to the Upvote Challenge!
What is the upvote challenge?
The upvote challenge is a way for the Steem community to encourage Steem users who create quality content. The goal is simple. Upvote 3-5 new posts with a 100% upvote one day each week. Although not required, I recommend that you consider voting around the optimal curation time. Currently, that time is 15 minutes, but that will change to 5 minutes after HF21 is released.
Who should I upvote?
I would recommend that you upvote content creators that appear to need encouragement. I would also recommend that you review the post to ensure that the content is of a high level of quality (proper sources, no plagiarism, well-written, shows effort, etc).
And make sure you upvote content that is meaningful to you. For this challenge, I decided not to upvote the following (even though I often post about these topics): actifit reports, splinterland, posts, and dlike posts. I wanted to reward creators who were writing about life.
I also looked for posts that had a low payout (under 5 cents).
It is up to you to decide who is deserving of your upvote.
Why follow the challenge?
The Steem community grows stronger when we support quality content creators. We create a better culture and environment for newer users when we show our support through upvotes and comments.
Again we should strive to reward quality content creation, not just content creation.
I have listed the 5 posts that I upvoted as a part of the challenge.
asks the question "Does this make me an official redneck?" I will let you make your own decision, but I personally think he is just resourceful.
was very inspirational in her Happy New Week post. She is encouraging all of us to seek wisdom. (Sorry, but the link to her post is not working. I think it is because of the hyphen in her primary tag.)
is a great artist. I appreciate the drawing, but I was not able to read of the text in My Friends in Verona, because it was written in a language besides English.
is celebrating a birthday. Stop by her post Today Is My Birthday and leave her some kind birthday wishes. Normally I would prefer a post to contain text describing the image, but in this case, I relaxed my normal standards as I wanted to show support on this special day.
reached a major Steem milestone. Over 100 Steem Power is a reminder that the Steem journey is not always easy.
Please use the #upvotechallenge tag so that we can see who you are supporting and show some support as well.
Thanks for stopping by!
