today I was traveling back to Germany and I've stopped at the factory. I wanted to go to the hotel first but this time I said, let's got, maybe I can solve a problem. I solved two, not only one. There was a guy that I was hunting for more than a year, so I managed to close a deal with him.
I went for a dinner with a colleague and after I wanted to got to bed in the hotel. In the lobby there was an old man who was picking on people and of course I was also addressed. Most of the time I ignore it, but this time I replied. After 20 minutes we had our 3rd brandy and we have been good friends.
The thing is I did not know who this old guy was, but the hotel owner came to me and told me that this guy is one of the top managers in Germany with over 10000 people under him. I really did not give any importance to that, so that is why we had a connection.
We departed that we meet in 2 weeks for another drink to speak more, also about business, as we touched some interesting topics. He liked that I'm more than half of his age and can relate to some of his ideas. All that happened was a matter of choices, as I see a chance to develop a strong relationship with this person.
