Yesterday's drive to the other province for the wedding didn't happen. The hubby changed his mind when we were on the road, which I was kinda happy about, for it would have been a long drive if we pushed it. So we went instead to the farm store for some needed stuff. My LilGuy was feeling the cold and was all curled up while waiting for his dada to pick up the things.
From there, I dropped by the dentist while they drove to my father-in-law's for a quick visit and to pick up the drill, which we had forgotten last time. Accordingly, the old man wasn't around, so he must have gone to the wedding. Good! At least we had a representative, lol!
Meanwhile, the dentist was late, and I was freezing in their clinic. I almost gave up waiting, but my dentures needed adjustment, so I had to extend my patience. She arrived and laughed guiltily when she saw me in the waiting area. "It's very cold, so I'm up late," she explained. "We're at 15 °C today. Geez, my back hurts like hell!" I half-joked (it really was hurting because of the coldness).
Anyway, she took care of me right after she settled in. It didn't take long, and the service was done. Will be going back on Wednesday for a fitting, so I'm basically teethless for days, lol! And that means soft diet and such. It's good, though, so I can finally take out the oatmeal that's been sitting in the pantry for a while.
From the dentist, I took a trike to my sister's clinic. The hubby arrived soon after to check if I was there and to pick up the parcels too. It was a busy day for my Ate, so we didn't have time for some chit-chat as their patients were queued up to the door. Most of them had a bad cough and the flu. It is common during these months, when there's a sudden temperature change. It gets too cold early in the morning, then it's hot during the day, and it becomes chilly again around early evening throughout the night.
Next stop for us was the grocery, the organic shop for veggies, the pet store (for Yongi's food), and finally, we drove back home, arriving before lunchtime. We spent the rest of the day indoors, keeping ourselves warm and comfy.
The wedding must have been fun, but it's okay to have missed it. We know there won't be a next time for the same couple, so we wished them the best!
