This weekend had the opportunity to participate in the Make A Wish campaign that was going on in Puerto Rico.
The Make A Wish charity has always been a pretty special charity. In case you are unaware of this charity, this charity is known to make special dreams come true for very sick children some of whom may be terminally ill.
“Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. ”
— Make-A-Wish® Mission
The Make A Wish volunteers were very friendly and genuinely nice to everyone even if they were not donated to, however we did donate cheerily to these wonderful folks.
The event was very creative and of course I was drawn to that. They created with all the coins donated nice works of art where all the volunteers participated.
On a personal note this charity has become even more special lately, because my little cousin became a beneficiary of it. She is a leukemia cancer survivor.
Sadly, we lost my Aunt about four years ago and my Grandfather to the illness.
Make A Wish even made my little cousin it’s spokesperson about two years ago.
Made my donations tomorrow I hope to wear my T-shirt of March Of Dimes for my PCP’s appointment. Spreading awareness and letting others know more about this organization is important. Giving is always more fulfilling than receiving.
I am grateful to still be alive and help other’s.
