I have said I would give all of the money (Steem or SBD) to benefit the people of the Philippines and Eastern Asia. Recently I drew off around 200 Steem and converted it to pesos. At the the time I got 8,400 pesos. So far I have purchased 4 half sacks of rice. Two I delivered last week and two more today.
One thing I noticed was, at both places the rice was cooked immediately and I arrived with the rice around 10 AM. Both places have many children and I also had som pan de sal (salt rising bread). It was consumed immediately.
I gave them the rice and played with the kids! We all prayed together and the proceeds from Steem has helped two more families. These are hard working people that just need a hand.
I watched the sunrise this morning, but even the beauty of the sunrise was not as beautiful as the smiles on the faces of these beautiful people. In one of the places, there was on dragon fruit that was ripe on the plant. They went and got it and cut it up.
1Pe 2:12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. KJV Bible
As we see the beauty in God’s Creation, we have to also see the beauty in the face of a child. Innocent and helpless. Helping these is the only true religion.
Jas 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. KJV Bible
1Jn 3:17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
It truly is more blessed to give than to receive. The joy to be part of the answer to prayer for those, who today may not have eaten. Wow!
Rice purchased by Steem
That is much more beautiful than the sunrise!
