What's up STACKERS!
I have a pretty funny story to tell but before I get started, be sure to follow @Davincij15 on Steemit, Youtube and Twitter.
It was around early 2010 when I started following @Davincij15 on Youtube. The reason why?
He was a fellow Silver Stacker (like myself) and we both believed that the whole monetary system was jacked up.
I was watching his videos daily, talking about how silver and gold is "Sound Money" and that everyone needs to own some precious metals...
He even gave me a shout out and sent me a Canadian Silver Maple Leaf (that I still have today) for supporting his channel back in march 2010.
Here is the video... it sure brings back memories:
Something interesting happened after that... Davincij15 started to talk about this thing called Bitcoin when it was around a $1! πββοΈ
His videos about Bitcoin peaked my interest. I remembered he received tons of hate from the Silver Community talking about Cryptocurrencies.
They we're calling Bitcoin a scam and I also had my doubts! "What was this Bitcoin Thing all about?" π€·ββοΈ
I heard about Bitcoin back in 2010... but like most people, I thought it's was some digital scam token for nerds. π€¦ π
However, I did start mining Bitcoin just for fun in 2011 on my laptop (when it was possible) and earning Bitcoin. I think I mined about 4-5 Bitcoins until my computer over heated and broke! haha
I said to myself "Oh wells, it's not worth shit anyway". π΅
Here is a video "D" talking about Bitcoin on Jun 1, 2011
Long story short, I decided to hit up @Davincij15 on twitter and that he should at least post some of this content on steemit.
Why Not, it's free to do! You can check it out here...
Guess what happened, Davincij15 posted on Steemit a few hours ago! That is so awesome! Let's show him some support on his new post here:
There you have it, back in memory lane for me.
Most people would of said... " Charles, I would of bought shit loads of Bitcoin for a $1 in 2011!"
Guess what, no you wouldn't have!
Bitcoin was so new back then and it was freaking complicated. There was hardly no information about Bitcoin online.
Worse yet, you had to kinda learn how transactions work and where to store/buy them. I was like, WTF is is this paper wallet shady shit HAHA.
It's was weird that I didn't even want to buy Bitcoin but "Mine" it instead which was kinda stupid.
I could of bought like 1000 Bitcoin for $1000 but the question is... would I still have them or would of it been lost like so many others did back in 2011. Probably!!
Well there you have it, a little short Story of my Bitcoin Journey. I blame Davincij15 for making me remember this regret I have about not buying Bitcoin at $1! Totally JK HAHA.
