Greetings to all my Hive friends! Today I want to tell you a little about my project that I started this year, 2026. At the beginning of the year, taking advantage of the holiday period in the coastal region of Peru, and currently being in its capital, Lima, in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, I noticed that there was no one nearby offering chess lessons. So I decided to combine several of my passions: teaching, mathematics, and chess. I mustered up the courage and commissioned a poster, which, after a bit of a struggle, turned out like this
Saludos a todos mi amigos de hive hoy quiero contarles un poco de mi proyecto que inicie este año 2026. Empezando el año aprovechando que era el periodo vacacional en la región de la costa en Perú y actualmente encontarndome en su capital Lima en el Distrito de San Juan de Lurigancho revisando que no había nadie cerca que dictara clases de ajedrez decidí unir varias de mis pasiones como lo son enseñar, las matematicas y el ajedrez. Me armé de valor y mandé a hacer un cartel que despues de batallar un poco quedó de la siguiente manera
**I ordered a giant poster or sign, waited two days and they brought it to me. I put it next to my house where I live and where many people pass by.

Mandé a realizar uan gigantografia o cartel espere y a los dos días me la trajeron y lo coloque al lado de mi casa donde vivo y pasa muchas personas.
**In the afternoon, I bring out a table and stand next to the sign and explain to the neighbors what my project is about and how I want to help the children improve their understanding of mathematics and how chess complements learning, helps focus and teaches them life lessons such as time management, cause and effect, among others.

En horas de la tarde saco una mesa y me coloco al lado del cartel y le explico a los vecinos en que consiste mi proyecto y como quiero ayudar a los chicos a que mejoren su comprensión de las matemáticas y como el ajedrez complementa el aprendizaje, ayuda el enfoque y les enseña temas para la vida como uso del tiempo, las causas y el efecto entre otras.
Little by little, they've started asking questions, and I now have four students I teach math and chess to on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. I've been reviewing a lot of literature focused on teaching chess to young children. Now it's up to me to make chess and math a window and a tool for their lives, something they can then independently choose to do or develop.
Poco a poco han ido preguntando y tengo ya cuatro alumnos que les doy Matemáticas y Ajedrez martes. jueves y viernes he estado revisando mucha literatura avocada a la enseñanza de parvulos y ajedrez. Ya que ahora de mi depende que el ajedrez y las matemáticas sean una ventana y una herramienta para sus vidas de forma independiente que decidan luego hacer o desarrollar.
