You say children are the future. You say the responsibility of social, political and economic development of the world lies on their tender shoulders. Yet incidents involving physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse and medical neglect of children show a serious upsurge over the past decade.
People have been working towards making things better. Cognizance acknowledges, appreciates and supports the collective efforts of various NGOs and Social Service groups, like Women's World Summit Foundation and Kailash Satyarthi Children's Foundation, working for this deserted cause.
This World Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse, let us all pledge not weaken these shoulders which have to bear the insane weight of future expectations. Let us pledge to let them wander freely in the mysterious fairyland that childhood is. Let's make their lives beautiful!
