I have been living in the U.S for 15 years , a long time I know . 2016 I decided that enough was enough .
It was a random thought at first. I had no plans of going back home any time soon but it seemed like the right idea.
After a 12 hour flight ,I made it and it was such an amazing feeling being back home . The food, the weather, the atmosphere, the people. The people of my country take for granted what they have every single day. While i love it here in the U.S i could never get used to not having my family around . The people of Chile are so warm and welcoming that they all feel like family .
If its one thing I wish i could of brought back was that sense of family . That feeling you get when everyone wants to know your name and where you come from . In the U.S i am just another guy working 9-5pm and paying bills.
In chile though? I felt alive , i felt connection . And thats something the people of my country take for granted.
