It's Sunday today. The day when many go to church, then to the malls to eat or buy groceries. Some still have hangovers from last night's alcohol spree, but for the most, it's just a day to chill, relax, and spend time with their loved ones.
But for me, I still have work to do. I woke up early this morning to check the weather. Surprisingly, the sun shines really well today. I'm actually expecting that today I can't put the chillies under the sun because there is a big typhoon coming into the country.
Because it's Sunday, I don't have my helper today, so I'm doing this alone.
The price of fresh chillies had gone up a little bit, but we are still buying, though I don't have any available net just yet, so I will stop buying for maybe 2 days.
It's already been more than a week since we started this work, and we now have our first batch of dried chilies. These will be weighed and packed in a plastic bag.
In stacking dried chillies, the only limit to buying more to dry is the number of nets available and the time the chillies will be dry, so every sunny day is important. The price of fresh harvest has gone up a little bit, but it's still very attractive to buy more.
Chill!
