China dropping 'red lines' policy that sent property sector into crisis, report says
"China Real Estate Business, a media outlet managed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, reported that the "three red lines" policy has basically ended.
A spokesperson for the ministry could not immediately be reached for comment."
--- Dubious. I would wait for more official confirmation. But of course shares are soaring already.
Britain and China hail reset in ties as Starmer seeks 'sophisticated' relationship
"With Western leaders reeling from the unpredictability of U.S. President Donald Trump, Starmer became just the latest to head to China"
--- It looks more like some leftist leaders are using Trump as an excuse to get their dream of closer ties to the commies in China fulfilled.
"The British premier [...] also said the closer ties would enable Britain to engage in “frank dialogue” when there was disagreement."
--- Frank dialogue meaning something like:
"We also wanted to talk about..."
"Shut up!"
"Ok."
"Starmer, who was accompanied by more than 50 business leaders, said the relationship with China was now in “a strong place” and said he saw Xi as someone he could do business with.
He described the meeting as warm and constructive"
--- Whenever you hear a politician say that he had a warm meeting with Emperor Xi, you know that you cannot trust him.
China’s Xi Jinping signals deeper ties with Finland during PM’s visit
"Xi told Orpo that Finnish businesses were welcome to “swim freely” in the “vast” Chinese market"
--- Which is of course a blatant lie. Let's hope that Orpo is not quite as susceptible as Starmer is.
Man who exposed human rights abuses in China granted US asylum
"A Chinese national who exposed human rights abuses in Xinjiang has been granted asylum in the United States, after an immigration judge found he had a "well founded fear" of persecution if he returned to China."
--- At least a bit of good news.
Nvidia helped DeepSeek hone AI models later used by China's military, lawmaker says
""If even the world's most valuable company cannot rule out the military use of its products when sold to (Chinese) entities, rigorous licensing restrictions and enforcement are essential to prevent such assurances from becoming superficial formalities," Moolenaar wrote.
"Chips sales to ostensibly non military end users in China will inevitably result in a violation of the military end use restrictions,""
--- Yep.

Wieso entmachtet Xi seinen Top-General?
