A random rambling rant maybe, but it raises certain questions:
So I've stopped off at a place for a beer and right now, I can witness the certain cultural differences between two separate groups of laowai in all their glory.
Some German engineer guys are having a few beers, they're all chilled, talking quietly etc. They're in a good mood because it's the weekend as one would expect.
The American teachers? Already fucking wasted before 9 o'clock, talking so loud that I can barely hear the music and whooping and cheering about shit. I guess this place only sells real beer imported from Germany and it is a bit stronger than Bud Light...
Does such behaviour occur because they're:
- A.) Americans?
- B.) Mostly women?
- C.) ESL teachers?
I might soon move on to this place that's usually full of Japanese people because the lack of English speaking staff usually keeps their sort away.
