Chinese New Year follows lunar calendar and is no set date. This year it is 5th of February and last year was on the 16th.
Western horoscopes include 12 zodiacs, one for each month. There are 12 Chinese zodiacs as well, but the animal is for the entire year. This is the year of pig. Pig is the 12th Zodiac animal in Chinese calendar and is the symbolic of wealth and good fortune.
Pigs are most compatible with tigers and also with rabbits and goats. Pigs have clashes with snakes and are least compatible and also with monkeys. I am not into astrology btw.
May the Year of the Pig bring great health, happiness, and prosperity for all.
