The blood is a symbol of bleeding from a living person. No man is exposed to bleeding without being pierced (John 19:34) and (1John 5:6,8). The christainlife is not possible without the shedding of blood(Heb 9:22) because Jesus died that we might claim His death for our complete cleansing, remission, redemption and salvation (2cor.5:17, Eph 2:15-16). His suffering was a replacement for our sins, a replacement for our shame and death; for we were worthy of death ; No man can see God except he dies! The dieing here refers to disengaging from our old ways.
All we need to do is to lay claim to the blood and strongly believe in its power, He was wounded for your trangressions, bruised for your sins and by His stripes ye are healed.
