You may say that Jesus had a sixth sense, but it is more true to say that Jesus was both God and man and therefore belonged to both the spiritual and the physical world.
Did Jesus have the sixth sense? Can we connect with the dead?
You may say that Jesus had a sixth sense, but it is more true to say that Jesus was both God and man and therefore belonged to both the spiritual and the physical world. However, the spiritual world does not consist of ghosts and "dead people", but by demons (Devil's evil handmen, Ephesians 6, v.12) and angels of God (God's messengers, Luke 2, v. 13). This is a completely different reality than what we see portrayed in the movie "The Sixth Mind".
The Bible also speaks of a death row where the soul of all the dead waits for God's final judgment, but first, the body is in the grave, and secondly, the world is completely separate from and without our contact. (Luke 16, v. 19-31). Our destiny in the death row depends on our relationship with Jesus in this life! Those who believe in Jesus will experience the death row as a paradise (Luke 23, v.43), those who denied Jesus will experience the death row as a pinpoint (Luke 16, v.23)
We are therefore given no sixth sense. There have always been those who claimed to be in touch with the dead, but they are victims of a devilish deception and the Bible warns against them (Leviticus 19, v.31). On the other hand, by faith in Jesus Christ, we share in the holy spirit of God who guides and protects those who live in faith and trust in Jesus, both now and in the kingdom of death. This is our right and safe contact with the spiritual world. There is no room for fear and fear of demons or restless spirits, but for rest and hope for an everlasting future. In faith in Jesus we can safely meet the dead.
