Two months ago, I authoured a post on "CONSERVING AND MAXIMIZING YOUTHFUL STRENGTH FOR PRODUCTIVITY" and it was focused on the source of the youthful strength, how to receive the strength as well as how to conserve it.
The emphasis of today's message shall be how and why the strength should be maximized. In 1 John 2: 14, Paul wrote this:
"... I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one."
From the above scripture, we see that the strength is residual in us because God lives in us and with that we have already overcome the evil one. It therefore follows that the strength in us is not for the battle against Satan, rather for other useful works that will edify the body of Christ. We already have assurance of defeating the evil one through the Cross of Christ.
Indeed, our strength are for exploits!
1. Maximize your Youthful Strength to See Visions
"In the last days,' God says, 'I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams." - Acts 2; 17, NLT
Young men are to see visions. This is the strength that God has endued us through the Holy Spirit. The strength on the young people are to bring insight into the future that the people may not perish. This is because where there is no vision, perdition is sure. The visions for young men are to be written down for who see it to run with it (Habakkuk 2:2). Running needs strength, as such, visions can only be pursued with strength.
Strength is the nature of yougness or youths.
- Solomon advised young men not to waste their youthful strength on women.
- Goliath was a warrior from his youth...
- David was a youth when he engaged Goliath
2. Maximize your Youthful Strength to Work
Jesus said day is the time to work (John 9: 4). The Day represents the time where our strength is at peak. There comes a time in one's life when working would become so difficult. There comes a time when the energy of work will be no more. he youthful strength has to be devoted to a worthwhile work. We have to work while we have the strength, privilege, provisions, encouragement, time, freedom. We have to develop ourself while you still have sponsors and those interested in your well being.
One beautiful fact about the strength we profess is that it is renewable (Isaiah 40: 29-31). God is ready to replenish us each time we exhaust the deposit of strength in us.
NOTE
A tree can only be transplanted in his seedling days. Pruning is best done in the seedling days. Our youthful strength is of great virtue, don't waste it. Invest it and maximize it.
God bless you.
