Romans 11:18
(NKJV) Do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you.
Still on the grace of God being related to the root of a tree, pls get the message.
By grace we were saved, through faith, not if ourselves lest we should boast. Pride is something that should be far from a Christian in matters of salvation and ministry. Especially we of Gentile extraction. Grace found us and brought us in. May we never boast as though we merited grace...
This should make one look back with a heart of gratitude. Whatever we are now, we are building on a certain foundation laid by others. As engrafted branches, we owe our roots regards. The place of history must not be jettisoned lest we become ungrateful.
Always remember to look back and appreciate how grace got you here.
