In the busy lives that we live, we need to make a special effort to spend time with our spouse. I use to make a post on Fridays to give tips of romantic things you can do on the weekend. So I decided to take it up again.
Some people say but we can't go out as we don't have enough money. You do not necessarily need a lot of money to have a good time with your spouse. There are lots of things you can do inside without costing you a cent.
So make this weekend special and plan a date. Here are some ideas.
- Stay in bed for half a day or the whole day. Just relax and take turns to go the kitchen and bring some breakfast and then snacks. An added bonus, most of the times this will lead to sex sometime during the day.
- If you live near the beach, go to the beach, enjoy the sun and the sea. Spend the day, swim, tan and take a long walk on the beach! Don't forget the sunscreen!
- Give each other a bath. Let your spouse lie back in the bath, eyes closed, start with the feet, lather up and work your way up. It is just as relaxing as a massage.

- If you an art lover, go to an exhibit, giving each your opinions of the different art pieces. If you can afford it, surprise her by buying a piece that she loved.

- Go to a restaurant where you can dine and dance. Enjoy the closeness and intimacy of dancing together. Whisper sweet nothings in each other ears and steal a kiss. (Remember the movie, Scent of a woman?)

- Pack a picnic basket and go out for the day. Pack in good food, good drinks, good books and some games to keep you busy the whole day. Enjoy each other's company.
- Go visit a butterfly farm. Butterflies are so beautiful and so magical. Take a selfie between the butterflies!
- Go to a waterfront and stroll through all the shops making up wish lists of things you want and start saving.

Bottomline is work on your togetherness, be together, be close, enjoy each other!
