As a believer in true love I want to explore the topic. Why do I believe in true love? Only because I have experienced it with my first late hubby (we were married for almost 25 years and was together for more than 30 years). And then I found true love again with my new hubby and we will be married 10 years on 30 May.

Let’s start with what is Love?
If you want to know what true love is, you must understand what Love is. Love is described as an overwhelming feeling of affection for someone. You view this person in a very positive light and find the person desirable based on what you see, belief and experience. As soon as you decide that you find someone attractive physically and mentally, love becomes a biological process.
Physical reactions of love.
Once we start to fall in love physical reactions which are a neurological condition takes place. When you fall in love our brain releases chemicals such as oxytocin, dopamine, serotonin, norepinephrine and vasopressin. This chemicals cause us to have loving thoughts and feel physical sensations that are associate with love.
What does these hormones do?
Serotonin enhance your mood, when you fell in love your body cause a rise in your serotonin levels. It makes you feel very good.
Oxytocin is the hormone that is released during cuddling and sex and it gives a feeling of attachment to someone. This hormone is the biological basis for love.

Dopamine. When your body secretes this hormone, it will make you feel an amazing amount of pleasure when you are rewarded with loving acts, kindness, attention and touch. This hormone is responsible for desire and reward.
Norepinephrine is responsible for the physical sensations when you fall in love, like a racing heart, dizziness, feeling flustered and maybe sweaty hands.
Hormones among other things regulate our behaviour when we are falling in love. So as love is then a hormonal process, does it make it less impactful? No, definitely not! Love is one of the most powerful emotions on earth and benefits us very much. It let us fall in love, maintain the relationship, want to protect and do good things for the other person. It also gives you a sense of belonging and safety. Without love, we would be feeling lonely, abandoned and scared.
