This is part 2 of a series of posts about Family.
Family has everything to do with Love and marriage.
A family first consists of two people who have made a long-term commitment to each other and are living together. A family usually have the same values and goals.
So a couple is already a family.

In a Child's life family will be the single most important influence. Children depend on parents and family to provide for their needs and protect them. A child's first relationship is with his parents. A child learns about himself and gets a foundation for the rest of his life. Family values and morals are part of this foundation.
The child also learns from time spend with family, love, appreciation and open communication. Family traditions are habits that families create by doing certain things on a regular basis, like holidays, how they celebrate birthdays and other family occasions.
Children will learn the basic values from his parents. They will learn good manners, morals and values that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
So when parents bring a child into this world it will become the most important thing that they ever did. To just think that little life comes into this world totally depended on you. And how you raise and teach that child is going to be who he or she becomes. It is a huge responsibility which I don't think that parents often think before they have children.
I recently became involved in and this made it for me necessary to look at family and what is happening to families today. To research and see why is this happening to families and what can we do. One of the main reasons I also wrote about Love and marriage is to help couples to stay married. Most of the times when couples divorce it is the kids who are scarred the most.
So in the next posts, we will look at what parents are supposed to do for their children growing up.
