Psalm 9:7-10 ------- 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
7 But the Lord shall endure for ever; He hath prepared His throne for judgment.
8 And He shall judge the world with righteousness; He shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.
9 The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
10 And they that know Thy name will put their trust in Thee; for Thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek Thee.
Lord our only and beloved God, we cry to you as we know how great is your justice and infinite your mercy. We ask you for our people, many of whom have forgotten your name and have moved away from your precepts. We pray that your people will turn their faces towards you and forget friendship with the world. Lord in our afflictions we know that you are a bulwark in our times of anguish. Give us the strength and the wisdom to stay in this world since we do not stay with him. Lord guide us in the way of the purpose that you have prepared for each one of us, since you never abandon those who place their trust in your name and seek day by day. We ask this in the name of your beloved Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
