Does widespread suffering mean that Jehovah is a God who does not care about us? Some people claim that Jehovah makes us suffer to test us, but this is not true.
James 1:13. Reads > "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God can not be tempted with evil, neither tempted he any man".
God has granted man the dignity of free will. Do we not appreciate our freedom to choose to serve God? Joshua 24:15. Let's read it said "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD".
But many choose to do bad things to others, so suffering abounds. It saddens Jehovah to see such injustice. Genesis 6:5, 6.
#5. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
#6. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him in His heart.
Jehovah is a God who cares about us. He wants us to enjoy life. Soon he will eliminate suffering and those who cause it. Meanwhile, he has good reason to allow suffering for a limited time.
2 pet. 2:9. "The LORD knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to punished":
