"You have indeed defeated Edom, and your heart has lifted you up. Glory in that, and stay at home; for why should you meddle with trouble so that you fallβyou and Judah with you?β
2 Kings 14:10
The fact that you won a big battle does not mean you must go around looking for unnecessary battles to prove your strength.
Wisdom lies in the ability to discern and avoid unnecessary battles.
Why fight with your spouse? Why fight with your siblings? Why fight with your neighbour? Why fight with your friend?
Ask yourself: do I really need to be engaged in this fight?
Can I avoid it and still maintain my cool?
What will I gain by fighting?
The fact that you have strength or capacity does not mean you must fight all the time.
You may never know the outcome and you may be worse off if not dead.
Think over and over before you fight and as much as possible avoid unnecessary battles.
Think on this things... π
