Bible Passage: 1 Chronicles 25:1-6
"Moreover David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen according to their service was:
" (1 Chronicles 25:1).
In 1 Chronicle 22, the bible tells of how king David began his preparations for the building of the temple which was to be built later by his son Solomon. Our bible passage reveals to us that the sons of Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun were separated for the service of musical worship in the house of the Lord.
The question here is why were they chosen? What qualified them? The bible says many are called but only few will be chosen. The chosen few are those who have exercised themselves on to godliness. The choir department of a church is a special and sensitive ministry. The instructions of God regarding the qualifications of choristers are clear in our quoted scripture. They are to proclaim God’s message in song and this can only be done if they continually draw their inspiration from Him. Are you a member of the choir? If you are, do you qualify according to the divine requirements set above?
If not, then today is an opportunity for you to get it right. Remember only the sanctified are fit for the Master's use and it is those that are used of God that will be rewarded. I pray as you come to the Throne Room of God today with a true and broken heart, He will anoint you supernaturally for exploits according to His will in Jesus name.
