As a muslim I believe I can help and clarify things a bit
so Yes allah did state in the holy quran that the bible and the torah are his books which he has revealed to the people who came before us. However Mohamed peace be upon him also teached us that the bible and torah of present day have been twisted meaning that the books were altered through out history.
This then makes the bible and torah of today false and means that us muslims believe in the books before they were altered
