Today's tonic: where to sow your seed
Text: Matthew 13:4-8
Confession: Lord Jesus, give the the bread to eat and the seed to sow in order to have harvest.
And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.Matthew 13:4-8
Hello good morning and welcome to God's alter where we have encounter with God on daily basis.
Yesterday we were able to established the fact that not all the land are suitable for sowing if you must expect harvest according to the book of Matthew 13:4-8.
Where then can we sow our seeds to have an harvest, that is what we shall be considering today.
The number one place to sow your seed is in your tithing (Malachi 3:10). You can't be rubbing God and at the same time expecting him to be blessing you in return.
Learn to give what belongs to God to Him, nothing can take the place of that.
The number two place where you can so your seed is in giving. When you give, ensure you don't give only to those that can repay you, but rather give to those that do not have the ability of paying you back(luke 14:14), by so doing, God the rewarder of everything good will reward you. Also give to those who ask of you (Mathew 5:42), don't tell them to come back if you can do it now
And thirdly this morning, give to superior authorities. This part encapsulate your parents, both physical and spiritual. Give to those that labour over your life. Mathew10:41, Ephesian6:2, Exodus 20:12.
Honour them in everything, your substance included.
Peace I leave with you, may the peace of God that surpasses all understanding rest and abide with you now and forever in Jesus name, Amen
