On God's usual sending activity, he sent Jonah to the land of Nineveh. He was most smartest so he decided to run away from a person whose end of sight means there's no world. Oh he met a storm, yes and he realized that the storm was because of him. It made sense there was a storm because he didn't follow the right path and storms are for people who built little drops of disobedience by definition.
But to you, where from the storm? You have been a good Christian. It's been God from childhood. Your face is a familiar face for church programs but you want to know where from the storm? When you meet a storm and know you can't do anything, you really can't see the need of a life guard. If its a raindrop sweetheart you can go through. Even if its drizzle, I am sure you will say I did it all by myself but when its a storm, you will know that there's an invisible force holding you.
All the people you depend on are in the chain of depending so make it short, depend on the dependable one. The distributor. Stop giving the storm so much accolades....it just giving an assurance of rain. There are times of storm but only those who were told "wasted" their times in youthful times on church activities can find joy in days of dismissal. The scripture is Philippians 1:21....for me to live is Christ and to die is gain.
