I believe that this is the underlying value and main premise within Christianity.
It was brought to my attention that it is also important to address the second part of this quotation and that is loving thy self.
We love ourselves first and then we spread that love into others.
A helpful metaphor for me was filling up our cup and then giving and sharing the over flow to others who need it.
