2 Corinthians 12:9 ESV
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
¿What to do before this?.
By studying and meditating on the Word of God I have learned that as many other insufficient but willing Christians who have gone before us, we can turn our insufficiency into victory because through the Holy Spirit we have the power to combat any feeling of inadequacy or weakness. However, this is not simply a phrase to recite or memorize, this requires certain actions on our part such as:
Recognize our weakness.
Let us be aware of the things that frighten us or that make us feel insecure to work on it. Sometimes it can happen that we do not tell others about our faith in Christ because we do not want to feel rejected or that they see us differently; It can also happen that we do not dare to pray for others because in our interior there is fear that prayer will not be answered, and that we forget that we are only instruments of God, He is the one who does the work, and as he deals with me in a way personal and particular, will do so with each person and will work their perfect will in their lives. Suppose a neighbor walks through the yard and talks about the life-threatening illness. He is upset and scared, wondering what comes after death. You clearly feel that God speaks in your heart, urging you to explain His saving grace to man, but insufficiency almost drowns the impulse. Feeling insecure is a normal human reaction, and following God's instructions requires that we acknowledge our fear-for example, by praying, "Lord, I do not feel able to witness to my neighbor."Pray for strength
We can say to God: "Father, I know that this is what you want me to do, so I trust in You to be faithful to Your Word You said that you would make me fit in Christ Jesus". The Lord assumes the responsibility of letting him know what to say, how to say it, and how to deliver his message.Act in faith.
Let us do something that impels us in the opportunity given by God, allowing us to test His power and ability when we trust Him.
Let the Lord make your incapacity the Victory. He delights in demonstrating himself in the lives of his children. The key is to look beyond our limitations to the full sufficiency of Jesus Christ. Only then can we live with joy and confidence, even when we are painfully aware of our personal deficiencies.
