THE MESSAGE
In Matthew 18: 21-22, Peter came to Jesus and said, "How many times in a day will my brother offend me and I continue to forgive him? Can I stop forgiving after the seventh offence?"(Maybe somebody had offended him 6 times and he was preparing to take revenge). But Jesus replied, “l say not seven times but seventy times seven." That means as many times as you are offended in one day by the same person, forgive. In other words, accommodate people even if they choose to behave like the devil!
Moreover, how can somebody offend you seventy times seven times in a day? How many minutes are there in one day? Be accommodating! However, if you are in a position of authority it doesn't mean you should not discipline somebody who has done wrong so that he can learn a lesson and not repeat his error. But. even that should be done in love. When people purposely offend you continuously and they see you laughing instead of being angry, it‘s a blow to them. Learn to give people a long rope to pull and a benefit of a doubt that it was not intentional.
