I have talked about captivity and bondage and how to get delivered. After deliverance, what comes next? Some people after seeing themselves freed just walk away.
As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed. - Mark 5: 18-20 NIV.
The man in the scripture discovered that Jesus has healed him and he decided to follow Jesus and become one of his disciples, which is a good thing. Jesus disagreed with him and said, instead of following me, go to where you come from, where people know your affliction and testify of what great things the Lord has done for you. He obeyed and left and went home and testified of his deliverance. He literally published the miracle.
They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. - Revelation 12:11 NIV.
The main word I want to pick from this scripture is that, They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. our miracle is made complete and permanent through testimony. If you hide it, you you might lose it. But when you testify, you put a seal on it. Even the devil knows that it is accomplished. We must therefore declare publicly to the glory of God what he has done for us. Those who punish Gods word, their miracles are great.
The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it. - Psalm 68:11.
