As you may already know I consider myself a follower of Christ, which means that I believe Jesus was literally the son of God, and actually sent to pay the debt created by man's sin, in order to reconcile God with his creation, mankind.
I know these assertions are not universally accepted, but I want to share my views on Jesus Christ, and my walk with him for two reasons, which are as follows:
- My faith informs all my opinions, and so I want to be open about the one to clarify the other. I cannot imagine growing a trusting audience without such honesty.
- Secondly, I want to share my faith because I believe Christianity is really true, and that Jesus really does change hearts, minds, and lives for the better, and therefore I want to share that truth as I see it, with anyone and everyone who is willing to listen.
As CS Lewis says:
“Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.”
Christianity is Important AND True:
As I have implied, I think these things are deeply important, and observably true, and my opinion does inform who I am what I say.
This video is not intended to convince anyone about the claims of Christ or Christianity, but rather to share my conviction over those claims, their truth and importance.
Having said that, I believe Jesus is the sovereign God, who is over all things, and that his love for all mankind is working even now, through my brokenness see people be transformed for their own good, and His glory.
So while I am not trying to convert you to love and serve Jesus Christ, I believe He is, and if anything I say here is helpful to that end, it is entirely His direct influence.
