The first converts Chapter 5 part one
Edwin Schnauzer worked for many years in India before seeing his first convert. They always heard him attentively, but when the time came to respond to God's call, no one answered; everyone was afraid that their neighbors would despise them. When a Hindu became a Christian, his relatives threw him out of the house and fought with him, so he had to live alone without family or friends. There were many who wanted to become Christians but didn't dare.
At last one day a Hindu with whom the missionaries had been working for more than a year stood up and accepted Christ. That day there was much joy among the missionaries, after long years of work God had compensated their efforts, that convert was called Faquira Faquira's family did not want him to become a Christian. If he was baptized, they would lose all their friends, but Faquira remained firm in his faith and asked the missionaries for baptism.
