Faith is a unique fashion of looking at the world, a paradigm or worldview. The individual who professes Christian Faith has re-oriented their worldview to place Yeshua/Jesus as the center of their life. This reorientation is not without evidence or reason. However, at some point, the individual must decide that Jesus is worthy of trust and that He was who He claimed to be. Colossians 1:18-20 demonstrates the radical reorientation that the person of faith undergoes. Simply put, faith is trust in the person of Jesus/Yeshua. As people of faith, we are confident that Jesus was who He claimed to be, based on the available evidence and reasoning as well as experience. Saving faith is a relationship with the resurrected Jesus, which the Bible calls a covenant. Our transformed life is further proof of this covenant. We trade our lives of sin and are redeemed and reborn in His image. Once a person has done this then we have peace with God through Christ Jesus and his completed sacrifice on the cross. (Romans 5:1) The point of faith is Christ.
