Jesus is worthy of our trust. The simple truth of the Christian message is that we serve a God who came to seek and save that which was lost, namely us. People adopt religious systems because people have realized that humanity has a fundamental problem. Namely, we are sinful. 1 John 3:4 defined sin a failure to keep God's law, (principle, teaching, or instruction). However, the message of the bible is that Christ is the only way to salvation. This means that any other solution to the problem of sinful humanity is devoid of meaning. Logically speaking, two conflicting claims cannot both be true at the same time and the same place. If Christ is the only name given by which we must be saved, then any other claim is excluded.
There is a second truth we can glean from this. God sought us out. God made a way for us despite our shortcomings and transgressions. Other religions claim it is the individual's responsibility to make themselves good enough. The Christian claim is that a person in covenant relationship with Yeshua will then be transformed through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and the word of God. (Romans 12:2, 2 Corinthians 5:17).
