Today I want to discuss a topic that generates controversies. There are different explanations based on the ideologies and cultures. Some one once told a story of a guy who had car breakdown. That car happened to be a FORD model of a car. He had tried hard to get the car started to no avail.
Suddenly one old man pulled by and looked at the car and told the driver owner what to do to get the car stated. The guy did not accept his suggestion could help him. When he had ran out of ideas on what to do, he decided to try what the old man instructed him to do. When he did, the car started to the amazement of the guy. He turned to the old man for introduction. The old man answered and said, I am Mr.FORD. I manufactured the car. The manufacture of the car knows every nitty-gritty of the car and can fix it better than anyone else.
Every manufacturer of a machine, provides a written operating manual. Failure to study the manuals before operating the machine can be hazardous.
God instituted marriage in the garden of Eden.
"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." Ephesians 5:31 (NIV)
That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh. Genesis 2:24
God is the author of marriage union between man and woman. His utmost desire is for the man and wife to enjoy love and cherish one another in holy matrimony. To be fruitful and multiply. When in trouble consult GOD the author of marriage. he can fix it all.
Genesis 1:28 (KJV):
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Many marriages are falling apart these days because people do not follow the marriage creator's manual.
Here is antidote for a successful marriage.
Ephesians 5:22-33 (NIV)
Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her
Malachi 2:13-16 (NIV)
Another thing you do: You flood the Lord’s altar with tears. You weep and wail because he no longer looks with favor on your offerings or accepts them with pleasure from your hands.
You ask, “Why?” It is because the Lord is the witness between you and the wife of your youth. You have been unfaithful to her, though she is your partner, the wife of your marriage covenant.
Has not the one God made you? You belong to him in body and spirit. And what does the one God seek? Godly offspring.[a] So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful to the wife of your youth.
“The man who hates and divorces his wife,” says the Lord, the God of Israel, “does violence to the one he should protect,”[b] says the Lord Almighty.
So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful.
In practical terms, marriage is not for immature men and women.
God utmost desire is for us to enjoy love/care with our family members, that was how He designed it from the beginning, that man shall leave – cleave and become one flesh with his wife which is bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh.
DIVORCE IS NOT PART OF GOD'S ORIGINAL PLAN IN MARRIAGE, AVOID IT.
Matt.19:4,8, reminded us of what God hath said in Genesis, therefore should be taken seriously.
