1 KINGS 11:29-43
You have had this quote said many times,"If you want to know how much you will be missed when you're gone, put your finger in a bucket of water, the remove it.The hole that is left will be how much you will be missed!"But a wise man once said,"When you were born, everyone else was smiling but you were crying.Live so that when you die, everyone else is crying and you are smiling."
How will people measure your life? What kind of impression or impact will you have made on others when you are gone from the planet? It's a simple question but defies a simple answer. After you are dead and gone, after you've lived over 40,60,80,100 years, when your time on earth is come to an end, when you're no more, how will you be remembered?
The truth is,one way or another,we will be leaving behind a legacy.People will remember us in certain ways.when they talk about you,if they talk about you at all, what will they say?Let me put the question in another way, what will the people who knew you best say about you when you're gone?We know that casual acquaintances can say what they want, but it doesn't really matter because they never really knew you.But you can't fool your children, your spouse ,your parents or your closet friends.they know the truth because they've lived with you for so long and have seen you in so many different circumstances. What will they say about you when they walk back to their cars while your casket is being lowered to the ground? How will you be remembered?Today's scripture vs 41 talks about the written acts of Solomon. One of the books of the bible is called -the Acts of the Apostles!
What acts will you be remembered by?
Think and make amends!
