Bible Text: John 3:3-6; 2Cor. 5:10-11,17-21
Introduction
The old heart is not totally hopeless, it can still be transformed and restored back to God's purpose. Man was originally endowed with noble powers and a well-balanced heart. He was perfect in his being and in harmony with God. Through disobedience and transgression, his power was perverted and his nature became so weakened that it became impossible for him in his own strength to resist the power of evil. Jesus Christ was given for our redemption and brought us back in harmony with God (Eph. 1:7, Acts 3:31). We need salvation to be transformed back to God's nature. We do not earn salvation by works, it is a free-gift of God to be received by faith.
Lessons
- We need salvation to get a new heart

Conclusion
