Faust has been one of the more enrapturing tales of Western literature and stage theater. The discontented Faust striking a bargain with the cunning Mephistopheles. The tale has, indeed, been at the route of the pact with the Devil trope in Western literature. Under the lens of Scripture, however, to what extent is it fitting with soteriology (nature of salvation) and demonology (the powers and nature of demonic entities)?
