Let me bring you to a place called Kashima. It is a busy seaport located in Northeast Coast of Japan. It was around the last week of October 2006. I was onboard a bulk carrier ship loaded with 150,000 metric tons of iron ore from Australia.
We were ordered by our port agents to stay well clear of the port limits and drift because there was no available berth at the moment. The Captain then decided to position the vessel around 50 nautical miles from the port entrance and instructed the officers to monitor our position regularly since, the current is strong and we may drift towards the shore and ran aground.
The following day, the vessel drifted about 25 nautical miles from the original position. That's about a mile per hour drift rate.
In the spiritual realm, we sometimes drift away from the Lord. It's because of the strong currents in life. This currents are the things of this world that distracts us and affects our relationship with HIM..
Drop your Anchor to the Rock that never moves!!
