The Last and Final Chapter to this Camp
I'm glad that this would be the final part of the 'Meeting God at Church Camp' post because I do not know what else I would write except share the photos I took there. If you've missed my previous parts, which is quite important because they tell the main reason on why I've decided to register myself for this camp, I'll leave the links below :
Meeting with God at Church Camp (Part 1)
I'm also glad that it's a FRIDAY and it is end of my two weeks working hell in the office. I've been working till the morning since two weeks ago rushing a movie that's coming out end of this year. What was supposed to be a two months job has been squeezed to only two weeks and that including the holidays that those two weeks included. I have just submitted my last shots to the HQ, though still awaiting their approval for final production, I would like to think that it's settled and done.
And oh boy... this week has been one of the worst for me. I'm glad it's over.
Back to the camp, from where I stopped the last part, I woke up in the morning at 7am for morning devotion with my group. I've forgotten that the guest speaker was in my group and I was late to the devotion meeting. And the night before, he was preaching about being discipline for Christ. Oh boy... oh boy oh boy... As I walked in, we learned about the 'walls of Jericho' and how God's army defeated and broke down the walls by just marching around the walls for seven days and the Israelites marched in. We continued praying and preparing ourselves for the day's session and there would be games as well. Something that I've grown out off. I would usually enjoy playing games but at this age, I would prefer being the committee and seeing people get soaked or have flour thrown at them. Hahaha.
I had a pretty heavy breakfast right after the devotion. Nasi Lemak, Cucu udang, sausages and chicken. Nasi Lemak direct translates to Oily Rice consists of egg, roasted peanuts, anchovies, sambal, cucumber and rice. It is the Malaysian's staple food where you can find it 24/7 in almost every corner of Malaysia. Whenever you're in Malaysia, let me know, I'll be sure to bring you to one of the best Nasi Lemak in town. :)
Games!
After that, we started the games. Blue Whale... *aherm.... which is an awesome group name btw especially for someone who is very much involved on Steemit.
Boy... you're supposed to wear blue. Where's your blue shirt?!?! Where where??? I told him he couldn't play the games cause he didn't wear our team's colour after I took this photo. JUST KIDDING! I ain't that bad. In fact, he was one of our biggest group supporters with a kid his energy, there's no telling him to stop cheering while all the other older folks just stared at him.
Okay, the first game was an egg batter game where you have 5 seconds each person to mix a bowl of egg and flour one round and the team leader will have to flip the bowl upside down on top of his head. If the batter isn't mixed well, the ingredients would splat on your head. We have some good cooks in our team so they advised us on how to properly mixed it.
My team leader and the other two teams survived except the one in pink. See that gooey blob falling on her head? Ngahaha, totally my type of game.
Moving on, the following game was a two-legged race where you have to use tools to carry water to fill your cup at the other end. Oh and it was really sunny, the sand was burning hot. Hence, that girl's face in the photo above as sand starts entering her slippers.
Next, it was a photography competition where we were given photographs and we have to imitate the photos as closely as possible. To the amount of feet, to the angle you have to stretch, and the colour of the background too.
I soon realized that I wasn't able to bend because of lack of exercise and the constant sitting in front of the PC daily. Gosh, I really need to get back to gym-ing with and
. Probably after ths hectic week has died down, I would consider.
The Last Night
We had a talent time where groups are given parables from the bible to act out and it was really fun! But before this, we had one of the deeper worship service. It's something about camps like these that the feeling/experience to worship God is very different. I guessed when we're all far from home, out from our comfort and daily routine, that's where we will find Him. This reminded me that sometimes I too get too comfortable with my life that I don't need God to decide the little things in my life. But believe me, IT IS as important as the bigger things in life.
I'm reminded that God wants to be part of your life and He wants to give you the best there is. I didn't take any photos during the worship because I didn't want to get distracted. I needed that one on one time with God. It's really amazing how when you place God in the center of your life that all things will surely work out for the better.
Because I'm not perfect and will never be.
My Team
After the talent time was the prize giving ceremony. We got Third our of four team but we all each got some pretty good goodies in the pack. I went around eating other group's prizes as well. Anyways, it was a truckload of food and drinks so it'll be good to share with me :)

Supper
It's camps like these that I love when it's the last night. Because that's when you know you'll hang out with your buddies and have late night chats. Sometimes not even getting enough sleep is fine. I enjoyed the car-ride there because on our way, we got to see colourful lights litted the night sky by a nearby fun fair. I wanted to go win some teddy bears but I was also hungry at the same time. What can I say? Food wins, teddy can wait.
Heading Back Home
The following day, we were all exhausted from sleeping too late, we've decided to take our time. Had lunch and we went to the beach for a couple of photographs.
These are the first few friends that I first known when I moved to West Malaysia. This is the first church in West Malaysia that I've been to and I've been stucked here ever since. Genuine and real people.
I had tons of fun in this camp and I was glad I came at the end of it all. Honestly, I do miss God and it's been awhile since I actually spend some time with Him. When you're so caught up with everything that's going on in the world, your job, your relationships, family, friends and many others, you tend to leave God out of the picture. I do that too and I realized again that God wants to be part of my life, my job, my relationships, family, friends and everything else.
Looking back at my life, I've been really blessed and I do see His works throughout my entire life. From the day I was born into my family, till today. My worries, troubles, imperfections will always be there, but I know the ONE who I can call out to.
I'm so blessed!~
Thank You
