The Christmas insanity is over (thank goodness) and I'm up in Harrison at my friends's place as we all recover from gorging ourselves on Christmas Turkey and too much rum and eggnogg (more rum than nog). The teenagers have all dispersed back to the city, and it's just us 3 adults left, one of whom is working, the other is being a couch potato and I've retreated to the little cabin that's house adjacent to find out what this crypto blogging business is all about. My friend's dad, for this post's purposes named Granpda V, spend Christmas Eve and Day excitedly pointing out all of his Crypto blogging and taking pictures to upload to his blog, giggling every moment subsequent to his cell phone pinging like a Vegas coinslot game. He's the nerdiest 70-somethingest person I've ever met. However, having run the gamut of log ins and hive account, passkeys (so many) and reiterations of never lose your passwords, I'm in now and committed.
I am excited to check out this world and try something new! I'm wishing good things for 2024 and improvements over 2023, which has been pretty grim for so many reasons. I'm wishing everyone on this platform a
new year's and improved outlooks. At a crossroads in my life, currently, I have so many different roads that could be travelled, the selection process will be, no doubt intriguing.
As this is an introductory blog, I guess I could say a little bit about myself. I'm 40, living in Vancouver, Canada, where I was born and mostly raised - and spending the holidays with my family friends. I've been on and off searching for creative outlets, but never did anything about it, since my previous job kept me spinning on a giant stress wheel (I was let go just prior to this Christmas). I'm currently jobless, and I should be more upset about it, but i think I hated my job that much! I've got at least 2 months before I need to actively start searching again and will spend that time blogging, working on creative projects and more importantly, my health and will blog about that journey here. So, while this post is pretty bare bones, I wanted to just be able to get something posted and have a sense of accomplishment :)
Thanks Grandpa V for a good idea!
