Normally I put lights up on the outside of my house during the weekend after Thanksgiving. This year it didn't happen, although I can't explain exactly why not. I DID put up Rosie's Tree as I showed previously, but really haven't done as much decorating as is normal for me.
I have thought about not doing things before, but got over THAT fast and was always glad I did after it was done.
Today the temperature got up in the mid 60s and the day was sunny, so I decided it was now or never... well.... never this year. I didn't want to feel all Scroogie though, so I threw a few lights up on the porch. I didn't put a lot of effort into it, but I was going on the notion that SOME is better than NONE ! It was hard to tell if I had things too crooked or not in the daylight and knew it would be easier to judge once it got dark.
Turned out pretty good. I didn't have to make any adjustments.
Just a fun little shot across the front of the porch rails. Christmas lights always make for fun photos I think.
It was neat how depending on what color the color wheel was on inside at the tree, how it changed the photos a little bit. That is what made me do the animation above.
And one more .....
Normally since living here I have put some lights in the azalea bushes that are to the left of the steps but.... I didn't feel like it ! That made me laugh to type that I didn't feel like it but.... I didn't, so this will have too do.
Some is better than none....right??!
Hope you are all doing well and finding ways to hold onto some Christmas Spirit despite the restrictions.
